My second Art Colouring

I chose this picture because it reminds me of adventures. I really like how the sky is bright and blue and It also reminds me of going to church and receiving my own bible at church.

Art Colouring Book

I chose this picture because it reminds me of the dark green grass and it reminds me of my family having a marvelous meal at the park. I hope these holidays when the weather is warm we can share special time together.

Getting a new dictionary

Yesterday we had visitors to our class room. Unfortunately it was only for the year four's because we were getting the same dictionary as the year five's got last year.

The visitors were two wonderful ladies and they carried two boxes of Dictionaries .Their name were Mrs Kearns and her friend Carol.Mrs Kearns explained how she used to be the president and we were all shocked because we have never met a president member before.

Carol and Mrs Kearns carried one box of dictionaries and Mrs Agnew called each person that was sitting up properly .We had to hold the dictionary and write our names in it. Afterwards , we finished and we could read it for a little bit while Mrs Kearns and Carol packed up and left.

The other things that they told us were that 20,000 children had bee given a dictionary from Tonga , Samoa and NZ last year.

They were called the '' Word Fairies'' who gifts us words. They came from Pakuranga Rotary Club and we were very lucky to meet them.

The best day of my life

My first time at Rainbows End

When I was seven years old I went to Rainbows End for the first time. We went there because it was my cousin's birthday.  When we finally made it to the Rainbows End, we met my grandparents, aunties, uncles and cousins.

When I first got there I was very excited and then when I went on the roller coaster I was petrified because it was very high up and also very dark and spooky.

Afterwards we went to eat some delicious sandwiches, cotton candy and then we had some frozen drinks. Meanwhile the adults were still eating so we went with my older cousin to a roller coaster called a swimming log and it felt like you were on an exciting adventure going this way and that way.

Next my uncle, aunts and I went to the fear fall and the fear fall is the most terrifying roller coaster in all of Rainbows End because you go all the way up to the Rainbow tower and then you fall all the way back down, but not all the way down to the ground! When you are close to the floor then you go down slowly.

Later we went to the bumper cars. We had so much fun that we went on them five times but I didn’t like it that much because it hurt my head when we were bumping into one another.

Finally we had to say goodbye because  Rainbows End was closing. I am so grateful  to have a family like I have. We had so much fun together and I hope we can go there again soon.

My Whakapapa Journey. By Sulia

Hello, My name is Sulia and I am Tongan.  As you can see from my picture, I have drawn my grandfather brown because he passed away many years ago. Now, my grandma who is represented by the green Koru next to my grandpa, lives in Tonga with my aunt.

I have three uncles and they love barbecuing and playing music. They are the three green Koru all next to one another. Their names are Simote, Pulusi and Mone. My two aunts are my mum’s sisters and they all love to smell nice so you can smell perfume on them. Their names are Tea, Siki and my mum Siuti. My mum’s English name is Judith.

Simote my uncle has seven kids and they are the seven bumps on my uncle’s Koru. They love watching Black Panda.

Pulusi has only four kids and they also love having fun of course. Mone has five kids and they love watching the T.V with candy and popcorn which I can relate to.

Tea has two babies who you can see on her Koru. The last one is Siki and she only has one baby.

Most of my family love playing sports and watching sport too. Their favourite sport is Rugby. My favorite sport is Rugby as well so that is why I play in the Marist Girls Rippa Rugby Team.

My family means everything to me and that is why I have a love heart at the top of my picture.
